Behavioral science, automated.
Pawvlov runs the same systematic desensitization protocol that certified behaviorists use — without requiring you to be there.
What happens during a session.
Listen
Pawvlov's MEMS microphone array detects thunder at 80–200Hz — the low-frequency rumble that characterizes real thunderstorms. The session begins automatically when the environmental threshold is crossed. No app interaction required.
Observe
The OV5640 camera at 4-inch floor height captures your dog's body language in real time. Ear position, tail height, weight distribution, and respiration rate are read continuously. The AI classifies your dog's state: calm, alert, or anxious.
Calibrate
Thunder playback starts below your dog's anxiety threshold — barely perceptible. Every 90 seconds, if your dog remains calm, the volume increments by 2dB. If anxiety is detected, playback pauses and the system waits for calm before continuing. The session adapts to your dog, not the other way around.
Reward
When calm behavior is detected, the N20 auger turns once, delivering a single treat into the silicone tray at floor level. The tray tilts 12° toward your dog. The total sound level during delivery: 38dB. Quieter than a refrigerator. Your dog walks to the tray, eats, and the behavioral association is made: thunder predicts calm + reward.
A typical 10-minute session.
Thunder detected at ambient level. Session begins. LED ring activates at 5% brightness.
Thunder playback starts at +3dB above ambient.
Dog calm. First treat delivered. Volume increments to +5dB.
Second treat. Volume at +7dB.
Fourth treat. Volume at +12dB. Dog relaxed, occasional glance at device.
Dog calm response: 6/7. Volume at +16dB.
Session ends. LED fades off. App summary delivered.
Every session. Every insight.
Session Reports
After every session, Pawvlov sends a summary: duration, max dB level handled, calm response rate, and treats used. You'll see your dog improving week over week.
Behavioral Arc
Track your dog's progress over 6 weeks. The calm response rate chart shows the protocol working — from 35% in week one to 80%+ by week six for most dogs.
Treat Inventory
Pawvlov monitors treat levels in the hopper and alerts you when it's time to refill. Capacity: approximately 200 small training treats or kibble-size pieces.
Storm Forecasting
Pawvlov integrates with your local weather forecast to pre-position sessions on high-likelihood storm days — starting a light session before the weather turns.
